Growing & Maintenance Tips

Grow in dry to average soil in full sun. Tolerates heat and humidity easily. This is an excellent short grass for the garden or large-scale landscape. Use in sunny borders, native plant gardens, naturalized areas, prairies and meadows. Excellent in massed plantings.

Interesting Notes

Provides food and cover for wildlife. Also a good forage component for livestock. There is an apparent correlation between the intensity of a plant's summer blue-green color and its fall red-orange color.
