Bouteloua curtipendula 'Trailway'(Grasses)
Trailway Sideoats is a cultivar of long-lived, warm-season Sideoats. Small reddish orange flowers dangle along one side of slender stems. Narrow leaves form small clumps and turn gold in autumn. Trailway is winter-hardy and long-lived with very good vigor and drought-resistance. Trailway Sideoats is excellent for livestock forage production.

Growing & Maintenance TipsTrailway requires most of a growing season to produce mature seeds and may fail to produce seed crops in regions with shorter seasons. It is recommended for eastern and southeastern Nebraska and eastward.
Many types of birds eat the seeds and small mammals feed on the seedheads and foliage. Mass in meadows, prairies, slopes, native plant gardens or naturalized areas.
