Poa pratensis

A long-lived dense sod-former in areas with over 18โ€of precipitation. Grows from 18โ€-24โ€ tall. It is the most predominant lawn grass in the Rocky Mountain West but also used for pasture and hay under irrigation. Highly nutritious for livestock and wildlife. Very cold hardy with good disease resistance. It can be found at elevations up to 8,000 ft.
