Spring Triticale

A hardy hybrid of wheat and rye, triticale is an annual grain crop bred for greater yields and higher disease resistance. Triticale is used for feed, silage, grain, cover crops and straw. Both spring and fall types are available. Quickguard is a sterile, non-reseeding variety often used after fires, in reclamation and erosion control situations, or as a cover crop where volunteer re-seeding needs to be minimized.
