Fringed Sagebrush is a low growing, spreading shrub. It normally grows from 4-16 inches high and can be found throughout the western United States in elevations up to 8,000 ft., but is most prolific on mixed and shortgrass plains. It is fine-leaved and aromatic. It is very drought and grazing resistant.
