Cynodon dactylon

A long-lived, strongly sod-forming grass commonly used for lawns and pastures in the more humid southern states. Improved varieties can be found in the colder areas of the central U.S. Good drought tolerance and well adapted to hot summers, but not strongly winter hardy. Can be invasive in the right conditions
