Also known as Blanketflower or Firewheel. A drought tolerant, heat resistant forb found throughout the United States. It is normally found on the plains, but can grow up to approx. 8,500 ft. in elevation. Blooms from June – September. It can be an aggressive, somewhat weedy species under the right conditions. Prefers full sun. Can be a nice cut flower.
