Canby Bluegrass a long-lived bunchgrass growing to 24” in height. It has high forage quality early in the season. Canby can be used as a temporary cover crop and can fill in spaces between larger bunchgrasses in areas low in rainfall. Canbar has shown to be effective in controlling annual weeds and grasses. Canby occurs in the 10-25” precipitation zone. It can be found up to 10,500ft in elevation.
