Texas Hybrid

Hybrid bluegrass is a genetic cross between Kentucky Bluegrass and Texas Bluegrass which was bred to meet the need for a more drought and heat tolerant turfgrass. These hybrids produce a deep root system and aggressive rhizome formation and tolerate low mowing. Because this is a relative new hybrid, long-term winter hardiness in colder climates is not yet known.
