An introduced species often found in lawns, but can also be used in grass and forb mixtures for reclamation or wildlife plantings. Good palatability to livestock but it can produce bloating and reproductive problems if grazed heavily. It is normally found as a prostrate type, but can also be found tall and upright. It can be found at elevations up to 10,000 ft.
