A drought tolerant, bright yellow, daisy like flower with a dark center, also sometimes known as Gloriosa Daisy. It is normally considered short-lived and grows from 1-3 ft. in height. Blooms June – October. This plant can become weedy and aggressive without sufficient competition. Black-eyed Susan is widespread throughout the United States. It is the state flower of Maryland. It can be found at elevations up to 9,000 ft.
