Festulolium is a cross between Meadow Fescue and Italian Ryegrass. The rapid establishment and high forage production makes this a popular addition to forage mixtures. It is also good used for overseeding and frost seeding. Festulolium has good drought tolerance and winter survival rates. It is normally seeded in mixtures with tall fescue and orchardgrass, or with a legume like clover or trefoil. It can be found at elevations up to 9,500 ft.
