Hybrid Pearl Millet is a medium-tall growing summer annual used primarily for forage. It is used often for horse pastures as there is no risk of nitrate or prussic acid poisoning. Estimated hay yield of 2-5 tons of dry matter per acre. Hybrid Pearl Millet has a slightly higher water requirement than sorghum-sudangrass. Seed early to mid June when the soil temp. is 70 degrees or above.
