An easily established, sod forming grass that grows to a height of 2-4 ft. Used for pasture, forage and hay in areas, which receive 13 or more inches of precipitation. Does well in sagebrush to high mountain zones (up to 10,000 ft.) and is very fire tolerant. It is not shade tolerant. Similar to Pubescent Wheatgrass but less drought tolerant.
