Long-lived, compact, densely tufted bunchgrass. Grows from 8-18” in height and to 11,500 ft. in elevation. Cold and drought tolerant. Very similar to Hard Fescue and more common at higher elevations. A good erosion control species on marginal soils in higher elevations.
