Drought-tolerant forb found in the plains and foothills of the northern and central United States. The light purple flowers are fragrant and attract bees and butterflies. The plant can grow 3-5’ in height and flowers during the summer and fall. A good reclamation species. Needs full sun. It can be found at elevations up to 8,500 ft.
