A native shrub that can reach heights of 15’. Similar to Saskatoon Serviceberry but is more common on arid sites in canyons, rocky areas and foothills. Good forage in late winter for wildlife and livestock. Fruits provide a valuable source of food for birds and small mammals. It can be found at elevations up to 9,000 ft.
